GRADUATE STUDENTS
We are accepting rotation students!
Interested students can apply to different graduate programs within Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences (DBBS) at WUSTL. Our lab is a part of the following programs:
Students from Turkey, please see this.
International students who are not familiar with the system in some of the US universities: Please note that I cannot directly admit graduate students to my lab. You will need to apply to a graduate program via DBBS (see the link above), and get accepted via an admission committee’s review. You are welcome to get in touch with me, but the decision is not up to me. If you decide you are applying to the graduate program and you are interested in working at my lab, please get in touch and let me know. In your email, please send me your CV, unofficial transcripts and a paragraph explaining why you are interested in our work. This needs to be more than “I saw your X paper on Y, and I was very impressed/excited/captivated.“ Please include details for why you felt/thought this way.
POST-BAC RESEARCH
Recent college graduates who want to get more research experience working at our lab are strongly encouraged to check out this program. If you want to chat with Duygu about applying to this program, please get in touch by sending your most current CV, your academic transcript, and a paragraph for why you are interested in working at our lab specifically.
UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH
We are accepting a limited number of undergraduate students for research.
Students from underrepresented minorities and underprivileged backgrounds are HIGHLY encouraged to apply! You do not need to have any previous research experience. We just want you to have the right attitude, and an excellent work ethic.
If interested in doing research with us e-mail Duygu with the following information:
1) A paragraph explaining why you want to work with us
2) If you are not a freshman, a copy of your transcripts
3) (Optional) Your up-to-date CV (We just want to see if you have any previous work experience - doesn’t need to be research experience.)
4) Your availability (how many hours per week, and potentially how many semesters you would like to work with us).
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
At this time we are not set up to host high school students who are minors. Please check back in the future to see updates on when we can accept high school students.
